15-Year-Old Christian Girl Still Missing in Wazirabad Despite FIR; Family Fears for Her Safety<\/h2>\n

Wazirabad, 26 June 2025 \u2014 More than a month after a 15-year-old Christian girl went missing from her home in Thatta Faqirullah village, Wazirabad, her family remains in anguish as police have yet to trace her whereabouts. Despite registering an FIR on 20 May under serious abduction charges, authorities have so far failed to make any progress in recovering the child.<\/p>\n

According to the girl\u2019s father \u2014 a poor labourer \u2014 both parents had left for work at around 7:00 a.m. on the day of the incident, leaving their daughter alone at home. When the mother returned around 10:00 a.m., the girl had vanished. Extensive searches in nearby areas and inquiries among relatives yielded no results.<\/p>\n

The family immediately approached the Sadar Wazirabad Police Station and filed a complaint. The case was registered under Section 365-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (abduction with intent to commit sexual assault) and assigned to Officer Muhammad Khawar Saeed under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Aroosa Shehnaz. The incident was recorded as FIR No. 2308.
However, weeks later, the girl has still not been found. Her parents say they are living in constant fear and distress, uncertain of their daughter\u2019s condition, and growing increasingly frustrated with the police\u2019s lack of visible action.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know our daughter well. She would never leave the house on her own,\u201d the father told reporters. \u201cWe fear she has been abducted and is in danger. The silence and inaction are killing us. The police registered our FIR, but since then, there has been no update \u2014 no arrests, no suspects, and no recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Due to the sensitivity of the case and in compliance with Pakistan\u2019s Anti-Rape Act (Section 26), the identity of the victim and her family has been withheld and replaced with pseudonyms.
Human rights observers have also voiced concern over the slow pace of investigation, which they say is common in cases involving minority girls. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis delay could allow the perpetrators to manipulate legal documents or even coerce the victim into forced marriage or conversion,\u201d said a legal aid officer familiar with such cases.<\/p>\n

The family has urged higher authorities to intervene and ensure timely recovery of their daughter before it is too late. They continue to wait for any news \u2014 hopeful, yet heartbroken.<\/p>\n
