Sheeza Bibi is a young Christian woman, married to Intikhab Masih, and mother of a four-year-old daughter. Her husband worked as a farmhand on the property (dera) of Malik Naseem, responsible for taking care of livestock for the past eight months. The couple lived a simple and humble life in Chak No. 42/RB, Sangla Hill.
On 11th June 2025, a tragic and horrifying event unfolded. Three men, identified as Mohsin, Zahid Gujjar, and Arslan, who were drinking alcohol on the dera, took advantage of Intikhab’s absence. They had deliberately sent him out of town for an errand, creating a pre-planned opportunity for their heinous act.
In his absence, the three accused forcefully entered the house and gang-raped Sheeza Bibi in front of her 4-year-old daughter. When Intikhab returned home after several hours, he found Sheeza in a state of emotional shock and distress, crying uncontrollably.
After much insistence, Sheeza gathered the courage to share the horrific truth with her husband. Shocked and enraged, Intikhab immediately decided to pursue justice and took his wife to the Saddar Police Station Sangla Hill to file an FIR.
Police Misconduct and Cover-Up
At the police station, they narrated the entire incident to the Munshi (police clerk). However, they faced resistance right away. The Munshi, upon learning that one of the accused was related to a police official named Sikander, refused to lodge the FIR.
When the couple approached the SHO (Station House Officer) for justice, they were met with intimidation. Instead of taking action, the SHO advised them to remain silent and pressured them to forget the incident.
Matters worsened when the SHO ordered two female police officers and one male constable to threaten the couple. They were coerced into recording a false video statement denying that any such incident occurred. This forced confession was taken under duress and fear of further police retaliation.
