Emergency Support During the Jaranwala Attacks (August 2023)
In August 2023, the Christian community in Jaranwala was targeted in a violent attack, resulting in the destruction of homes, churches, and livelihoods. Families were forced to flee, left with nothing but fear and uncertainty.
The Edge Foundation responded immediately by providing:
- Emergency Water & Rations – We distributed essential food packs and clean drinking water to ensure families did not go hungry or thirsty.
- Psychological & Emotional Support – Beyond physical relief, we offered counseling and emotional support to help the victims process their trauma.
Even in the face of persecution and violence, we remain committed to ensuring that no family suffers alone.
Flood Relief Efforts (June-October 2022)
Between June and October 2022, Pakistan experienced one of the worst floods in its history, affecting over 33 million people and submerging one-third of the country. Thousands of families were displaced overnight, losing their homes, belongings, and livelihoods.
Recognizing the urgency, The Edge Foundation rapidly deployed relief teams, delivering:
- Emergency Food Packs – Hundreds of ration kits were distributed to displaced families struggling with food shortages.
- Shelter & Bedding Supplies –Families who had lost their homes received bedding, blankets, and essential materials for temporary shelter.
- Clean Water & Hygiene Support –
With drinking water sources contaminated, we provided clean water and hygiene kits to prevent disease outbreaks.
By standing with flood victims, we helped restore hope and provided the first steps toward rebuilding their lives.
COVID-19 Pandemic Response (2020-2022)
When the COVID-19 pandemic reached Pakistan in February 2020, it caused widespread economic and humanitarian crises. With strict lockdowns, millions of daily wage workers lost their incomes, leaving families struggling to afford food and medical care.
To help vulnerable communities survive, The Edge Foundation launched an extensive COVID-19 relief initiative, which included:
- Emergency Food Support – We distributed thousands of ration packs to struggling families with no income source during lockdowns.
- Health & Safety Measures – We provided masks, hygiene kits, and sanitization supplies to curb the spread of the virus.
- Community Awareness Campaigns –Our team conducted informational sessions on COVID-19 precautions and vaccination to help communities protect themselves.
Through these efforts, we helped hundreds of families endure the crisis while ensuring their health and safety.
