Emergency Flood Appeal
Emergency Flood Appeal – Pakistan Needs Your Help
During August and September 2025, Pakistan has faced monsoon floods on a historic scale. Torrential rains and overflowing rivers have swept away villages, destroyed crops, and forced millions from their homes. Families are stranded under the open sky, exposed to hunger, disease, and despair. In Punjab, the country’s most populous province, over 900 lives have already been lost, more than 2 million people displaced, 9,000 homes destroyed, and crops of cotton, rice, and wheat wiped out. The toll on children has been especially severe, with homes and schools submerged, leaving them without shelter, safety, or education. Families in makeshift camps struggle to protect their children, while floodwaters breed deadly diseases such as cholera and malaria, making food, clean water, and hygiene kits urgent priorities.
For Christian and Hindu families already living in deep poverty, the crisis is even worse. Many have reported being turned away from relief lines or excluded from camps simply because of their faith.
Already living on the margins, they now find themselves abandoned in their hour of greatest need. Since 1998, CLAAS has stood alongside persecuted and marginalized communities in Pakistan. We know from experience that minority families are often neglected in times of disaster, and today we are determined to reach them with urgent help, restoring both hope and dignity.

“Life was already difficult after my husband died last year. Now the floods have taken everything. My children cry with hunger. We have no food, no bedding, and no roof over our heads.”
Our emergency response
Together with local churches, temples, and trusted community volunteers in Punjab, we are ready to provide:
- • Relief packs for 1,000 families: flour, rice, pulses, cooking oil, sugar, tea, powdered milk, and spices.
- •Hygiene kits: bottled water, purification tablets, soap, detergent, sanitary pads, and disinfectant.
- • Bedding for 500 displaced families: quilts, bed sheets, floor mats, and clothing.
- • Legal support: helping families replace CNICs, birth certificates, and land documents lost in the floods.
Our work will focus on flood-affected districts including Kasur, Sialkot, Chiniot, Narowal, Faisalabad, and Multan

How your gift saves lives
Your generosity today can make the difference between despair and survival:
• £35 provides food for a hungry family.
• £50 supplies a food bag + hygiene kit.
• £100 helps us reach more families with food, water, and survival packs.
• £500 supports rebuilding safe brick homes for those who have lost everything.
Every gift—large or small—is a lifeline.
“And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” – Matthew 7:25
With your help, we can rebuild lives on the firm foundation of Jesus’ love—providing food, shelter, dignity, and hope for the future. Please stand with CLAAS in responding to this urgent crisis. Together, we can bring relief to widows like Nasreen, mothers like Maryam, and countless others who feel forgotten. Your compassion today will show them they are not abandoned.
Thank you for your prayers, your support, and your faithful partnership.
